JUST IN: One dies, two injured in Lagos midnight accidentA midnight accident involving a hit and run truck and wine colour Toyota Corolla car with number FJK 353 GC has reportedly claimed the life of a person and injured two others.

The incident occurred at Ikota on Lekki/Epe Expressway. It was gathered that the Toyota car was on motion, while an unidentified Truck ran into it.

The resultant effect claimed the life of the male car owner while two other male adults were injured on the spot.

As soon as the incident occurred, the truck driver was said to have drove off the scene leaving the victims to their fate but some officials of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, said to be returning from the scene of a midnight inferno which occurred at Olaleye Market in Shomolu area were said to have carried out a rescue operation by depositing the body at a mogue and took the victims to a nearby hospital.

The vehicle was towed to a nearby layby. In a related development property worth Billions of Naira were lost to the Market inferno but the prompt intervention of emergency responders prevented loss of lives.

Both incidents were confirmed by, LASEMA Director General Dr. Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu who said the cause of the inferno had not been ascertained at press time. He said, “No life was lost and no injuries sustained, but properties and goods whort several billions of naira is currently being razed down by the inferno”
