On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, Nollywood actor and comedian John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, gave Nigerians a shocking news.
In a viral Instagram video on Wednesday, the comic actor sought the prayers and financial assistance of his fans.
The comic actor said he had been hospitalised for two weeks because of “a strange and dangerous illness”.
The 62-year-old actor, who also celebrated his birthday on his sickbed, said his doctors had recommended the amputation of his legs.
In response to the video of John Okafor, Nigerians expressed sympathy and called for prayers.
However, well-known Nigerian activist Verydarkman said the video was embarrassing, and he felt ashamed of Nollywood.
He is one person establishing a growing influence when it comes to social comments.
