Hollywood stars Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are reportedly ending their marriage after two years.
Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce on Tuesday in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, as confirmed by court documents obtained by the BBC.
The couple, affectionately known as “Bennifer”, got married in a low-key ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022.
Also, it follows by a larger celebration in Georgia the following month.
Their relationship first blossomed in a 2003 movie.
It had initially led to an engagement, but they called off their wedding plans in 2004.
Nearly two decades later, they rekindled their romance.
According to a court filing, Lopez or her legal representative must serve Affleck with a copy of her petition to dissolve their marriage.
Reports suggest that Lopez, who had legally taken Affleck’s last name, did not include details of a prenuptial agreement in her divorce petition.
The court document specifies that both Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, are required to share financial details, including their current income, expenses, properties, and debts.
They must also update any financial changes until a final agreement on financial matters is reached.

Lopez has been given 60 days to submit her financial disclosure, with Affleck having an additional 60 days to respond.
Failure to comply with these requirements could result in court-imposed sanctions.
