
Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has announced that the 15-year-old girl at the centre of controversial entertainer Speed Darlington’s recent Instagram confession will formally report the incident to the police.
During a live session, Speed Darlington, known by his stage name Akpi, appeared to confess to defiling a 15-year-old girl.
However, he later claimed the admission was merely a publicity stunt for his new song
Public outrage has persisted and calls for an official investigation have grown louder.
In a video message shared on his Instagram page, Isaac Fayose urged authorities to act swiftly.
He highlighted broader concerns about child protection in Nigeria.
He revealed that the identified victim, accompanied by her mother, is scheduled to submit a sworn statement at a police station the following day.

Transparent Investigation
Fayose described the nation as “lawless” when it comes to safeguarding minors and warned Speed Darlington that he faces serious legal consequences.
“Akpi was thinking it was a joke,” Fayose said.
“But tomorrow we have a victim coming forward to write a statement at the police station. You’re going to be the latest pedophile in Nigeria.”
He stressed that the matter cannot be ignored or “swept under the carpet”.
Also, he noted that both national and international bodies were monitoring the situation.
