Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has congratulated the newly pronounced Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma on his victory at the Supreme Court.
Bello, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed described the apex court’s verdict as a just one.
Bello sought God’s assistance for the new Imo state Governor, even as he appealed to the people of the state to rally round Senator Uzodinma to enable him provide them the needed dividends.
He stressed that the judgement demonstrated yet again that the judiciary remained a great arm of government that right all wrongs.
The statement read in part: “Senator Hope Uzodinma is a party man who has worked tirelessly for the success of the APC at all levels across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria
“The progressives Governors’ Forum is glad with the new addition.
“Bello describes Uzodinma as a detribalised, just and passionate Nigerian committed to the unity and progress of the country.
“The Governor then urged the senator to be the ‘Governor’ of all irrespective of political affiliations. “With this Supreme Court Verdict, you are the governor of all the Imolites irrespective of political affiliations.”
Also, Governor Oyetola of Osun state congratulated Uzodinma, Buhari and the APC on their victory.
On his Twitter page, he wrote: “Congratulations to Imo State Governor-elect, Senator Hope Uzodinma, over his victory at the Supreme Court.
“Congratulations to President Muhammadu Buhari and the entire APC leadership for this victory.”
