I’m not anybody role model, Toke Makinwa speaks

Celebrities are often seen as role models probably because their fans and followers see them often on social media or in their respective fields and just assume they live a perfect life without flaws.
But as it is, celebrities have started refusing that role as it is a huge responsibility because their actions are always under surveillance and they don’t want to disappoint anyone looking up to them.

Popular Nigerian OAP Toke Makinwa has also warned that people should stop looking up to her as their role model as she also is not perfect and is prone to making mistakes.
The screen goddess took to her Twitter page to tell her followers to stop calling her their role model as she is still figuring out her life and will end up disappointing them. She further advised parents to raise their kids to see themselves as a work in progress.
The media girl also stated that she will disappoint people who see her as a role model without apologies as she is also trying to figure out life itself and if there is a part of her life that is inspiring to people, it can be used as a guideline.
She concluded that people can be inspired by her life but no one should pressure her into becoming their role model.
