• Ikeja youths stage a 100,000 youths rally Lagos

The Coalition of Ikeja youths embarked on a 100,000 youth rally over the weekend to pledge their support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and every other candidate.

The rally which was proposed to kick off at 7 am, did not start until about 8:30 am because of rain. The youth began their rally from Ikeja under bridge and moved to Allen avenue to connect the Oregun link bridge and then ended the rally at Ojodu.

Speaking to journalists, Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo local council development area, Hon. Oladotun Olakanle, said this has never happened before in Lagos for youths who are considered docile and passive to coordinate themselves and organise a rally this huge, it is unprecedented.

According to him, “the youth are now more active and willing to participate in politics more than ever before.

Olakanle urged the participant to work and support the reelection of Hon. James Faleke as the representative of the Ikeja federal constituency while also giving Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu their massive support to emerge winner of the 2023 general elections.

The participants had fun as they sang and danced to various songs while chanting the praise of their presidential candidate
