Popular Nigerian music star, Davido is currently hosting Elder Bright Chimezie in Lagos after acknowledging him for inspiring his verse on ‘With you’.
In a video shared by Davido online, Elder Bright was seen alighting from a white exotic car, afterwards, the duo exchanged pleasantries and danced together as they walked into the Elder Bright’s reception venue.
This has sparked reactions from netizens and Davido’s fans.
While many praised him for honoring and hosting the old musician, an X user with the username Yakbel warned Davido from being too close to Igbos.
According to him, Igbos are betrayers and should not be trusted.
“Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest, Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them, you can never satisfy Ibos ooo, IBOs are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man”, the X user wrote.
Howvever, Davido responded by saying he is Igbo by blood. “Lol, I AM IGBO by blood”, the musician wrote.

Davido is not only married to Igbo woman, but has aides and allies who are Igbos as well. He has also mentioned in interviews that his maternal family are Igbos.
