In the midst of heartbreak, transition, and public curiosity, music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia seems to have stepped into a brand new phase of life both personally and professionally.
At the centre of this fresh beginning is Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, who has openly declared her love and unwavering support for the iconic musician.
Barely two weeks after publicly addressing rumours about her relationship with 2Baba, Natasha is now making headlines for something far bigger: her promise to not only back his career, but to also amplify his impact across the continent.
“He’s My Husband and Everything”
In a video shared via her Instagram Story, the 30-year-old lawmaker spoke passionately about her admiration for 2Baba’s influence on African music and youth empowerment.
More than a show of affection, her message was a declaration of purpose.
“He is about to bring you a new face because he’s 2Face,” she said, playing on his popular stage name. “It’s a lot of work because he’s my husband and everything. In our generation, there’s only one kind, and he’s the one.”
Natasha expressed her intention to protect and promote his legacy. “He has so much to give the world, and I want you all to stay tuned and support like you’ve always supported.”
“I will do everything in my power to make sure that that light never dims.”
A Promise to Egor Constituency
But her support goes beyond music. Natasha also revealed that 2Baba had visited her office in a surprise move and made a promise a pledge to use his platform to uplift young talents in her constituency, Egor, and the wider Edo State.
“Egor Constituency will get a massive boost in youth empowerment and talent development as legendary singer, 2Baba, promised to breed talents in the constituency and Edo State at large,” she shared.
Their joint vision? To give young creatives, especially in entertainment, the platform to be seen and heard on a global stage.
A Rebirth and a Partnership
Natasha spoke highly of 2Baba not just as a musician, but as a man kind, intelligent, and inspiring. “He blows my mind most of the time.
Having him around pushes me to read more and pay attention to global news. He’s so peaceful, and he has lived such a beautiful life despite all the noise.”
She described her excitement for this “rebirth” of 2Baba, and what lies ahead in his journey. “I’m so excited to see what he’s about to do to the world again,” she added.
From Breakup to New Beginnings
This new relationship came to light shortly after 2Baba’s unexpected Instagram announcement on 27 January, where he confirmed the end of his 12-year marriage to Annie Macaulay.
Sixteen days later, he introduced Natasha Osawaru as his fiancée and declared his love publicly. The proposal came on the eve of Valentine’s Day a bold and symbolic gesture that marked the beginning of something new.
Whether on stage or in public life, 2Baba has always had a way of staying in the spotlight not through drama, but through his ability to evolve.
With Natasha Osawaru by his side, it seems his next chapter is not just about music, but about legacy, impact, and the kind of love that’s not afraid to show up loudly.
