
Nigerian TikToker, May May, has stirred controversy online after accusing Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux, of presenting a false image of wealth.
In a viral video, May May alleged that despite his celebrity status, Jux is not as financially secure as he portrays.
Also, she referenced a story shared by Juma Jux, in which he claimed he missed a business class flight to Rwanda.
Categorically, May May asserted that the story was fabricated to excuse the fact that he had flown economy.
She further alleged that Iyabo Ojo and her daughter advised Juma Jux on how to get discounted business class upgrades.
According to her, this was done to help him maintain the appearance of living a luxurious lifestyle.
This is in order to maintain appearances.
Also, May May alleged that Jux’s current home in Tanzania was inherited from his late father.
She stated that the house was not purchased by the singer himself.
Also, she casted further doubt on his financial independence.
Translating her remarks into English, she said:
“That was when I realised their lifestyle is not real. There’s no money—he only said there were no business class tickets so he could fly economy. They’ve now taught him how to negotiate for discounted tickets. That house in Tanzania? It was built by his father.”
She also threw a jab at Jux’s alleged plans for a lavish event in Tanzania.
