Akinola George-Taylor is now the substantive managing director/CEO of Heritage Bank Company Limited.
His appointment was approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on March 31.
The confirmation of appointment was documented in a letter of no objection by the CBN.

As a result, Heritage bank released a statement through its Group Head, Corporate Communications, Ozena Utulu, where it stated that, the Board of Directors of the bank was happy with the development and has no doubt, the new CEO will do very well in his new portfolio.

He joined Heritage Bank as acting MD/CEO on September 12, 2022 and would be succeeding Ifie Sekibo as MD/CEO following the approval by the CBN.
He is expected to oversee Heritage Bank operations across Nigeria and work to implement the lender’s next phase of transformation.
