Thierry Henry had to hid his face behind his notes after Kate Abdo made an embarrassing mistake while hosting CBS Sports’ Champions League show.
Abdo, who recently tied the knot to boxer Malik Scott, has changed her surname and now goes by the name Kate Scott.
However, amid the excitement of the Champions League’s return, Abdo momentarily slipped and referred to herself using her maiden name, a minor blunder that became the highlight of the evening.
After Scott’s on-air mishap, Micah Richards was quick to crack a joke, asking, “What happened there, did you have something in your throat?”
Trying to avoid joining in the teasing too much, Henry comically hid his face behind his notes, prompting even more amusement from viewers.
“Leave me alone!” he said.
Over the years, fans have often commented on the friendly banter between Henry and Scott, with some playfully suggesting that the former Arsenal and France striker has a soft spot for the presenter.
