This year’s celebration seems to be a very special one.

Needless to say much, we have all seen that meat is not flying around as usual.

Trust us, if you have tried purchasing a ram recently, you’d understand why you shouldn’t blame anyone.

A little bit on the brighter side, Nigerians have a weekend coupled with a long holiday, a very long weekend we must say.

Long Holiday

The Federal Government declared Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, as public holidays for the 2024 Eid-ul-Adha.

Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo announced this on behalf of the Federal Government.

It was through a statement released by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, on Friday, June 14.

Also, the minister congratulated the Muslim Ummah both at home and in the Diaspora.

Furthermore, He asked them to continue to imbibe the spirit of peace, kindness and sacrifice.

While the celebration is on, Nigerians are left to endure a different kind of suffering.

The Unseen Problem

Items like tomatoes, onions, and the likes, which is majorly sold by the Muslim folks would become a problem for those who did not purchase them before now.

Our Muslim brothers are the ones majorly in the business of shoe repairs.

We cannot help but imagine what people who need this service will have to endure.

How about those ‘Mallams’ that prepare those tasty fries we often enjoy eating, especially in the evenings.

Lol, you may have to suspend this for a while due to the celebrations.

Trust us, those guys are not in the mood to fry anything today.

Many Nigerians are not even feeling this little inconvenience, everyone is just so engulfed in the celebration.

It is indeed a season of love and kindness.

For now, Nigerians have forgotten their troubles, it is time to celebrate.
