On Monday, October 21, a report of Bobrisky’s arrest at the Nigerian-Benin Republic border by influencer VeryDarkMan left the internet buzzing with reactions.

According to VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky was nabbed on his way out of the country in an attempt to evade the ongoing investigation by the government into the controversy surrounding his time in prison.

Well, as usual, while many believed VDM, many others expressed doubts as there was no evidence to back this claim.

However, in a latest development, an Immigration source at the Nigerian-Benin Republic border has confirmed the arrest.

It is said that Bob was arrested at the Seme border during passport checks on Monday, October 21.

Escape To Benin Republic

According to the source, Bobrisky was arrested at midnight and detained until this morning and has been moved to the Lagos zone of the NIS in Ikeja.

The source said: “He was arrested at midnight and detained until this morning, and he’s currently being moved to the Lagos zone of the NIS in Ikeja. He gave his passport to someone to stamp it for him, so, the officer saw the name immediately among others and requested that he should come down from the vehicle.”

Meanwhile, a report by the investigative panel set by the Federal Government revealed that Bobrisky actually spent his time in prison.

However, the report noted that he was given extra benefits.

The report is yet to confirm if these benefits were financially motivated or linked to corruption.
