Nearly nine years after Kim Kardashian was bound, gagged, and robbed at gunpoint in a luxury Paris apartment, justice may finally be served.
A French court is poised to deliver its verdict today in the high-profile trial of ten individuals
They are accused of executing the notorious $10 million jewellery heist that shook the internet.
Also, this happened back in October 2016.
The defendants, nine men and one woman, mostly in their sixties and seventies have been on trial since April.
Among them is 69-year-old Aomar Ait Khedache, aka “Old Omar,” the alleged mastermind who, despite admitting to tying up Kardashian, denies leading the operation.
His legal team argues that a decade behind bars would effectively be a life sentence given his age and poor health.
Kim Kardashian herself testified earlier this month
She recounted the terrifying night with stark clarity: “I thought I was going to die,” she said.
Despite the trauma, she extended forgiveness to “Old Omar,” after hearing his handwritten apology.
One of the accused, Yunice Abbas, who famously wrote I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian, told the court he regretted the heist
He called it “one job too many,” especially as he now battles Parkinson’s disease.
