QatarEnergy now sits in Fifa’s top sponsorship tier alongside the likes of Visa and Qatar Airways, in a segment that last year brought in $93 million in revenue for the organisation. Following the national flag carrier, the liquified natural gas provider is now the second Qatari company in Fifa’s global sponsor category.

The deal comes after QatarEnergy first linked up with Fifa last year as an official partner of the 2021 Arab Cup in Qatar.
