Today, October 1, 2024, Nigerians trooped out in nationwide protests expressing their displeasure to the government over harsh living conditions.
These conditions include increased fuel prices, constant inflation in prices of commodities and transportation, insecurity, hunger amongst many others.
However, “Fearless In October” protesters in FCT, Abuja were fired with teargas by police officers.
The protesters had gathered at the Utako area in Abuja, waving the Nigerian Green-White-Green flag and placards with various inscriptions such as “EndBadGovernance”, “DiasporaVoting”, “EndHighLivingCosts”, amongst others but were dispersed by policemen.

Videos shared online shows the protesters running helter skelter after the teargas was fired to disperse them.
