But barely 24 hours after suspending its campaign activities in Ogun and Lagos States, reports have emerged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is seeking the postponement of the general election.
The ruling party is citing the economic chaos in Nigeria as its reasons.
Could this be ‘Fear’? Many Nigerians have began to express concerns.

According to Daily Independent, the plots by APC to have the election timetable adjusted by four weeks is being spearheaded by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
The APC source, who spoke to journalists, revealed that the plot to extend the election was stirred by the current economic chaos.
Another reason the source cited was the protest being experienced by many Nigerians over the new Naira scarcity and lack of petrol at fuel stations.

The source said: “The APC is seeking a postponement of the election by four weeks and the move is led by Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
“I think it has to do with the current chaos we are experiencing as a result of the naira and fuel scarcity”.
