According to Daily Independent, the plots by APC to have the election timetable adjusted by four weeks is being spearheaded by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

The APC source, who spoke to journalists, revealed that the plot to extend the election was stirred by the current economic chaos.

Another reason the source cited was the protest being experienced by many Nigerians over the new Naira scarcity and lack of petrol at fuel stations.
