Former Arsenal forward Lucas Perez has been diagnosed with tuberculosis just a month after joining Dutch club PSV.
Lucas Perez’s time on the field has been limited, having played only twice for PSV before contracting the infection. His overall playing time for the club amounts to just 24 minutes.
The tuberculosis diagnosis means Perez will be sidelined for an extended period, including at least four weeks of isolation.
This development will impact Perez’s chances of adding to his limited playing time for PSV. Perez played for Arsenal between 2016 and 2018, making 21 appearances and scoring seven goals.
He also had a brief spell with West Ham during the 2018-19 season.
