Nigerians vote in Governorship/State Assembly Elections

This wave and awareness has caused a major shake up in the country’s politics.

Many politicians lost their offices while many retained their seats.

Some retained their seats through the mandate of the people while others allegedly manipulate their way into office.

2023 Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted the governorship election on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

The commission has declared official results in some states of the federation.

INEC declared the results after the counting and collation of results were completed.

States Won So Far

A breakdown of the results shows the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won more states than its closest rival which is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

One the least cadre is the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) which has just a state to boast of.

Other parties such as the Labour Party (LP), and others are yet to win any state from the 2023 governorship election.
