The outcome of the just concluded governorship election in Edo State is still whipping up reactions, with the latest coming from Philip Shaibu, the Deputy Governor of the state.
Shaibu in his reaction to the development, mocked the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, describing him as an ingrate who bit the hands that fed him.
“He has never won; we always assisted him,” Shaibu said in a chat with Arise TV.
To him, he has been vindicated against those who claimed he can’t win elections.
Philip Shaibu Vs Obaseki
Shaibu said he does not hold the outgoing governor as an enemy.
However, he is glad about the outcome of the Edo governorship polls, which ended in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His only happiness is that the election is a clear testament to the fact that Obaseki can’t win elections on his own.

The Deputy Governor mocked Obaseki for not only losing the election, but also failing to win his local government area for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Go And Beg
He advised Obaseki to start begging and apologising to the people of Edo State.
His words: “I feel vindicated; even the governor couldn’t win his local government. I won my unit, ward, and local government. Where are the governor’s results?
He has never won; we always assisted him.
What is left now is for him to go back and start begging and apologising to the people of Edo State.
”He has a lot of them that he needs to go and apologize to,” he added.
