Peoples Democratic Party’s Godwin Obaseki has defeated the All Progressives Congress in Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s Local Government Area.

The Independent National Electoral Commission announced that the APC polled 10,458 votes while PDP got 13,445 votes in Orhiomwon.

Running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in the Edo governorship election, Philip Shaibu, lost the election in his local government, Etsako west, to the APC.

From released results, the PDP occupies a comfortable lead over the APC, and looks set to reclaim power from the APC while Obaseki returns elected.
