Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he is no longer Black Adam under James Gunn’s DC leadership, at least for the time being.
The fate of the DCU has been unknown for the last few weeks as Gunn and Peter Safran are now leading the franchise.
After nearly two decades of trying to bring Black Adam to the big screen, Johnson finally got his due this fall, but not with the expected results. Dwayne Johnson has remained silent on all of the ongoing changes at DC Studios over the last few weeks.
As the DC Universe has undergone numerous changes, Johnson has finally spoken out about the future of his franchise and Black Adam 2.
Dwayne Johnson issued a full statement on Twitter after meeting with the new DC Studios executives, confirming that the antihero will not appear in the first chapter of the DCU.

However, the actor teases that there will be more to come in the future.
