Doechii will be honoured as the 2025 Billboard Woman of the Year at the annual Billboard Women in Music event, taking place on March 29, 2025, at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California.
Doechii joins the ranks of Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, who have also made the impressive leap from Rising Star to Woman of the Year.
This achievement is the latest in a string of impressive accolades for Doechii. Earlier this year, she made history as the second solo woman to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album, following in the footsteps of Cardi B.
Her acclaimed mixtape, “Alligator Bites Never Heal,” has climbed as high as No. 14 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.
The Billboard Women in Music event, hosted by the talented Laverne Cox will also recognize the achievements of talented artistes, including aespa, Ángela Aguilar, Erykah Badu, GloRilla, Gracie Abrams, JENNIE, Megan Moroney, Meghan Trainor, Muni Long, and Tyla.
The event will also feature performances by some of the honourees.
