A Magistrate Court sitting in Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State has remanded a man for allegedly raping his girlfriend’s 17-year-old daughter and infecting her with HIV.

The remand order at Ogwashi-uku Correctional Facility was given by the court on Friday, January 27, 2023.
According to Marvin Mordi, the activist in charge of the case, the suspect who had sexually abused the girl since she was 11 years old also passed on HIV infection to her.
He further claimed that the victim’s mother knew about the sexual abuse but chose to conceal it out of concern for their relationship.
Comrade Israel Joe, a well-known activist who confirmed the occurrence, claimed that the perpetrator also infected the victim’s mother with HIV.

“A magistrate court in Ibusa, Nigeria, remanded this man today for defiling the woman’s daughter and infecting her with HIV.
