However, National Youth Service Corps has denied claims circulating on social media about upgrading corps members’ bank accounts for a new wage.

NYSC Disregard News

The NYSC stated that relevant authorities have not issued any directive regarding the payment of a ₦70,000 minimum wage or account upgrades.

The NYSC spokesman, Eddy Megwa, labeled the report as misleading and entirely false in a Saturday statement.

He urged corps members to avoid being deceived by those spreading false information.

The organisation emphasised that no government directive on this matter has been received.

The statement read: “The NYSC management has noticed misleading media reports about the ₦70,000 minimum wage and account upgrades. This is absolute falsehood”.
