COVID-19: Nigeria discharges 366 patients, admits 373 across 19 states, FCT

No fewer than 366 Coronavirus (COVID-19) 366 patients were discharged following their recovery from the disease, as 373 new cases were confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Thursday night.

The centre reported that six patients were confirmed dead.

19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Thursday.

Lagos recorded the day’s highest toll with 69 new cases while 41 new cases were reported in Osun.

Kaduna and Oyo followed with 40 new cases each.

Others are FCT-35; Plateau-22; Rivers-19; Kano-17; Ondo-17; Ogun-15; Abia-14; Gombe-12; Imo-9; Enugu-7; Kwara-6; Delta-5; Niger-2; Borno-1; Bauchi-1; and Nasarawa-1.

Since the index case was confirmed on February 27, 2020, Nigeria has recorded 48,116 cases of the disease.

While 34,309 cases have been discharged after their recovery, a total of 966 fatalities have been recorded.
