A Lagos Magistrates’ Court sitting in Igbosere, on Tuesday, remanded two housemaids for allegedly defiling their employer’s 2-year-old and 17-year-old daughters, through the anus and vagina.
The defendants’ Peace Sunday 19 and Bose Augustine 18, who were docked before Magistrate Mrs K.O. Doja-Ojo, are currently facing a three charged bordering on conspiracy, unlawful and indecent sexual penetration.
Magistrate Doja-Ojo ordered that the duo should be temporarily remanded at the ilasan division, Lekki, police station pending the legal advice from the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution, ( DPP) on the matter.
The Police Prosecutor Inspector Peace Chukwudi, told the court in charge No C/52Q/2020 that the defendants committed the offence between May 24 and 27, 2020 at Lekki Garden Horizon 2 Estate,l Lekki, Lagos where they work and live with the two complainants.
She told the court that the parents of the victims reported to the Police that they had left their daughters aged 2and 17 in the care of the two housemaids and went to work but that before they returned, their maids allegedly defiled their daughters with fingers and stick and in the process inflicted severe injuries on their private parts.

The prosecutor said that the defendants unlawfully, indecently and sexually penetrated the vagina and anus of the two and 17 years, old girls, with their fingers and stick.
Chwkwudi said ” Following the report, at the Police station, the Police referred the victims to the Mirabel medical centre for examination and the medical report revealed that the defendants had defied the victims several times with fingers and stick”.
According to the prosecutor, the offence committed is punishable under Sections 409, 411 and 261 of the criminal law of Lagos state, of Nigeria 2015.
However the plea of the defendants were not taken, as they were remanded by the Magistrate.
Consequently Magistrate Doja-Ojo adjourned the case till July, 4, 2020 for the out come of the DPP’s legal advice.
