The trouble rocking the P-Square brothers appears to be far from over. Now, Jude Okoye is having a ‘trying time’ over an allegation of fraud.
As things unfold, a Federal High Court in Lagos granted Jude Okoye a ₦100-million bail.
Jude is the former manager of P-Square, the now-defunct music duo consisting of twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye.
Presiding over the case on Monday, Justice Alexander Owoeye ruled that Okoye must provide two sureties in the same sum.
One of whom must own a landed property, among other conditions.
Also, the court prohibited him from leaving Nigeria.
Jude Okoye, the elder brother of P-Square, was arraigned last Wednesday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
His case was about money laundering charges involving ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.
He was charged alongside his company, Northside Music Limited, on a seven-count indictment.
According to the EFCC, Jude Okoye and his company allegedly acquired a property at No. 5, Tony Eromosele Street, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The property was acquired for ₦850 million in 2022.
