Controversial crossdresser,g Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has regained his freedom. He was released from Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Monday, August 5, 2024.
The social media celebrity was seen leaving the correctional centre.
In a video posted on X, Bobrisky was seen greeting his fans who had gathered to welcome him.
Bobrisky had been incarcerated for six months for naira abuse.
He was charge with the offences related to spraying the currency at parties.
Also, he was convicted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 5.p
Before his sentencing, he pleaded guilty to four counts of naira abuse before Justice A.O. Awogboro at the Federal High Court in Lagos.
On that day, the judge sentenced the cross-dresser without the option of a fine.
Also, the judge stated that the sentence would serve as a warning to others who abuse the Naira.
His imprisonment started on March 24, the same day he was arrested.

Upon his release on August 5, 2024, Bobrisky was seen celebrating with friends, including popular Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao
His fans were heard cheering, “We are out of prison. Congratulations, Bobrisky.”
