On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the city of Lagos was on total shutdown as famous Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, nicknamed Davido, tied the knot with his lover, Chioma.
All roads led to Habour Point which was the venue of this memorable wedding.
#CHIVIDO2024 which was tagged the ‘Gathering of Billionaires’ by Davido’s loyalist, Israel DMW, brought together some of the biggest names in Nigeria and beyond.
This event did not only bring together some of the biggest faces in the entertainment industry, but it brought together some top political figures in the country.
It was indeed a glamourous day in Lagos.
Lessons From Davido And Chioma Union
However, if we take out a little time to ponder, we will get to realise that there are some real-life lessons we all can learn from Davido’s union with Chioma.
This is a union of two strange ethnicity.
On one hand is Davido of the Adeleke’s, a well rooted Yoruba man, and on the other hand we have Chioma of the Igbo tribe coming together on a journey of forever.
Perhaps this is a message of peace to Nigerians, especially those who engage in tribal wars online and offline.
With the frequent clash between the Igbos and Yorubas, many had thought that it would be hard for Davido to settle with an Igbo woman, but to the surprise of many, he did.
While you are busy engaging in wars that would only destroy, people are also taking out time to build good connections and relationships that will benefit them.
