Following the launch of petrol production at Aliko Dangote’s refinery, Nigerian singer Charly Boy took to Instagram to explain why this new fuel is different from others.
On Thursday, September 5, 2024, he shared his excitement about Dangote’s fuel, highlighting its unique white color.
Charly Boy explained that petrol can come in different colors, which indicate its composition. Red means octane has been added, green means there’s a high amount of octane, and yellow means it’s unleaded.
However, the clear appearance of Dangote’s petrol suggests that it contains ethanol.
He elaborated, “When the petrol is as clear as water, it means ethanol was used. Ethanol helps improve engine efficiency and power.
It has a good amount of oxygen, which reduces the carbon emissions in engines, leading to less air pollution.
So, this is the best type of petrol. Congratulations to Dangote!”
On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, Aliko Dangote proudly announced the start of petrol production at his Nigerian refineries, a milestone that thrilled many Nigerians.
At the launch event, Dangote thanked the Nigerian government and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their support, saying, “I would like to salute the people of Nigeria and President Tinubu for creating an environment where we could achieve this monumental task.
This will bring energy for our growth, development, and prosperity.”
