The 2024 Paris Olympics, scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, has announced its star-studded lineup of performers, including Celine Dion, Dua Lipa, and Aya Nakamura.
This year’s Olympics will feature a historic opening ceremony directed by Thomas Jolly, held outside an Olympics stadium for the first time ever.
The ceremony, expected to be a spectacular event, will accommodate 600,000 spectators and be broadcast on 80 giant screens in public spaces.
The 1750-capacity hall, which has hosted legendary acts like Adele, Lady Gaga, and the Rolling Stones, will be the venue for the ceremony.
In addition to the performances, Jin, a member of the South Korean boy band BTS, will be one of the torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics, making him an ambassador for his country.
The Olympics have a long tradition of featuring musical performances, dating back to 1896 in Athens, Greece.
Past performers have included Whitney Houston, Angelique Kidjo, Andrea Bocelli, and Lady Gaga, among others.
