Rivers: Police bust baby factory, rescues 25 children, 6 pregnant women

POLICE in Rivers state have rescued 25 children and 6 pregnant women in yet another baby factory busted in the state.

The development followed the E-Crack Team of the state Police Command’s offensive Tuesday against the baby trafficking syndicate which operates between two centers at Oyigbo and Trans Amadi in Port Harcourt metropolis.

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni stated that, “Following intelligence reports, our men on ongoing investigation busted the baby factory and rescued 25 children and six pregnant women with some other suspects believed to be owners of the place. They are at Mile 1 Police station”

Efforts, Nnamdi explained, are on to trace other members of the group engaged in the illegal business.
