
Burna Boy has earned yet another Syndicat National de l’Édition Phonographique (SNEP) Gold certification in France, this time for his hit single ‘It’s Plenty’, further expanding his impressive list of international accolades.
The single, which appears on his seventh studio album, ‘I Told Them’, has found major success in France.
Burna Boy’s Achievement
This achievement comes shortly after his collaboration with Coldplay, ‘We Pray’, received a diamond certification from the French music authority.
With this latest milestone, Burna Boy now holds 15 certifications in France, making him the most certified Nigerian artiste in the country a clear reflection of his growing global influence.
His Gold-certified track adds to a list that includes diamond records like ‘Last Last’ and ‘On The Low’, while songs such as ‘Gbona’, ‘YE’, and ‘City Boy’ have been awarded platinum plaques.
Others like ‘Alone’, ‘Anybody’, and ‘For My Hand’ featuring Ed Sheeran have also reached Gold status.
In addition, Burna Boy received a platinum certification for his collaboration with French star Dadju on the song ‘Donne-Moi L’accord’.
In 2024, Burna Boy made history by selling out the 80,000-capacity Stade de France and becoming the first artist to feature on the cover of Billboard France Magazine two moments that further highlight his strong presence in the European music scene.
Looking ahead to 2025, the 10-time Grammy nominee is preparing to release his eighth studio album, titled ‘No Sign of Weakness’.
So far, he has released five singles from the upcoming project, with the latest being ‘Tatata’, a Brazilian funk-inspired collaboration with American rapper Travis Scott.
Burna Boy continues to break records he is also the first Nigerian artiste to have three albums surpass 500 million streams on Spotify.
With ‘No Sign of Weakness’ on the way, fans and industry watchers are eager to see if he will once again earn Grammy recognition, just as he did with his last four albums.
