Nigerian comedian and actor, Broda Shaggi, recently revealed that he narrowly escaped a life-threatening situation.
This makes his latest birthday a particularly emotional and reflective moment for him.
On September 18, 2024, Broda Shaggi took to Instagram to share his gratitude and relief.
He reflected on the unexpected challenges he faced shortly before his birthday.
He posted photos from a last-minute birthday photoshoot.
Also, he opened up about why this year feels so different from previous celebrations.
In his heartfelt message, Broda Shaggi explained that he usually did not celebrate his birthdays and could go as far as switching off his phone to avoid birthday calls and wishes.
However, this year was unlike any other for the comedian.
Broda Shaggi revealed that he recently had a close brush with death, which left him deeply grateful for the gift of life.
“But this particular birthday is different cos the gift of life was almost taken from me recently, but God showed himself and gave me another chance.
“In fact, this photoshoot was done last night, lol,” he wrote.
The actor went on to share his gratitude to God for sparing his life.
Also, he noted that many of his birthday mates were not as fortunate.
“Today, I’m happy, I’m grateful, I’m honored cos I know some birthday mates who aren’t here to celebrate theirs.
I’m no different from them but God has spared me for a reason, I’m sure,” he said,
Broda Shaggi also used the moment to encourage his fans to listen to a special birthday song he recorded for himself.
