Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are officially divorced after finalising their paperwork on Monday, December 2, 2024, marking the end of their 14-month marriage. 

The couple filed for divorce in August 2023, over a year after their split was initiated amidst mounting tensions and rumours.

They tied the knot in June 2022, following a relationship that began in 2016 and became Instagram-official in January 2017.

During an interview, Britney Spears described Asghari as “a really fun, funny person” and revealed that she was drawn to him immediately after they met.

Speculation about trouble in their relationship began in March 2023, culminating in their separation months later.

Asghari confirmed the split on Instagram, stating, “After six years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. ”

“We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other.
