Britney Spears has apologised for lighting a cigarette during a flight from Cabo San Lucas to Los Angeles.
The singer explained that she believed smoking was allowed on the private plane and admitted she had taken vodka before the incident.
She said a friend lit the cigarette for her and she assumed it was fine to smoke.
However, flight attendants quickly told her to put it out, which she did.
Authorities were waiting when the plane landed and gave her a warning.
Spears later said on Instagram that the reaction was “kinda much” and also claimed a flight attendant acted in a strange and embarrassing way. No charges were filed.
The singer ended her post with an apology to anyone she may have offended.
