Dr Doyin Okupe, a renowned physician, politician, and former presidential aide, has passed away at the age of 72.
His death was confirmed on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Sources close to the family revealed that Okupe had been critically ill in recent weeks.
His health was rapidly deteriorating despite medical efforts.
His death has now been confirmed as a result of cancer, a disease he had bravely battled for over 16 years.
Back in October 2023, reports surfaced that Okupe was hospitalized with prostate cancer and had been flown to Israel for advanced treatment.
Unfortunately, his condition did not improve as he and his family had hoped.
In addition to prostate cancer, he later developed sarcoma in his right shoulder, further complicating his health struggles.
