Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has overseen the distribution of food relief to over 10,000 families in Mafa local government area of the state.
The federal government-donated relief packages, comprising one bag of maize grain each, were distributed in four centers in Mafa town.
Expressing gratitude to the federal government, Zulum noted that this was the last batch of food items donated to the state, following similar distributions in Gwoza and Nganzai.
“This food item constitutes the last batch of those donated by the federal government to the state. You can remember that we shared similar food items in Gwoza and Nganzai a few months ago,” Zulum said.
In a separate initiative, Governor Zulum has distributed ₦150 million to 15,000 female heads of households in Mafa town.
In addition, each recipient received a package containing ₦10,000 cash and a wrapper, provided through the Borno State Microfinance Bank.
