Famous Nigerian rapper and activist, Falz, has addressed recent claims involving cross-dresser Bobrisky and his alleged role in securing the latter’s release from prison.
Bobrisky was sentenced to three months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of naira mutilation.
He was released on August 5, 2024.
On September 24, 2024, popular social critic and self-proclaimed activist, VeryDarkMan leaked an alleged voice recording of Bobrisky.
In the recording, Bobrisky claimed that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and his son, Falz, played a key role in persuading the EFCC.
Falz, through his legal representatives at Falana & Falana’s Chambers, issued a statement denying any involvement in Bobrisky’s legal matters.
Also, he clarified that there was no discussion or intervention on his part concerning the EFCC charges.
Falz revealed that Bobrisky had only reached out to him seeking financial assistance of ₦3 million.
This amount was intended to pay certain officials to ensure Bobrisky’s stay in the VIP section of the Correctional Centre.

Additionally, in a letter that has since gone viral on social media, Falz’s legal team accused VeryDarkMan of recklessly publishing unverified claims against the artiste.
The letter highlighted that VeryDarkMan had failed to reach out to Falz for clarification before making the allegations public.
It appears that this issue will stay for a while. So, be prepared for a long road of accusations and counter accusations regarding this ‘Bobrisky Prison Saga’.
