Benue experienced a rather sad incident as 19 medical and dental students with a House Officer were abducted on their way to Enugu.
The victims were heading to Enugu state for the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS) annual convention.
However, the students were said to be from the University of Jos, were travelling together when they were abducted around 5:30 p.m. in the Otukpo area of the state.
In addition, the spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene, who confirmed the incident said an investigation had been launched into the abduction.
“Yes, we received a report that medical students from the University of Jos were kidnapped.
The report was received around 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and an investigation is ongoing.”
Furthermore, a Nigerian doctor on X gave the names of the victims as
