
More tributes are pouring in for victims of the the recent herdsmen attacks in Benue State. Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Iyanya, now adds his voice to the number of tributes to the victims.
He dedicated a heartfelt song to those affected by the tragedy.
The attacks reportedly claimed the lives of over 200 people in Yelewata, Guma Local Government Area
The attacks have drawn nationwide attention and outrage.
In response, Iyanya took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a video of his musical tribute, expressing solidarity and offering prayers for comfort.
In the video, the singer said:
“I want to dedicate this song to the people of Benue State. These are trying times not just for your state but for the entire nation. We all feel your pain.”
He further offered his condolences to bereaved families and called for divine intervention.
“I pray God comforts everyone who has lost a friend, parent, sibling, or loved one. May He turn your sorrow into joy.”
Captioning the video, Iyanya wrote: “We are praying for the people of Benue”.
