The Owode-Yewa Police Division near Idiroko in Ogun State, was rocked with drama as a village head was arrested for defiling his own daughter.

Rasheed Sholabi, a Baale, had denied the allegations until his daughter confronted him at the station.

Shocked to learn that she orchestrated his arrest, he fainted and was rushed to a hospital where he was resuscitated.

The 15-year-old victim, stunned the station when she walked in casually and narrated that she had been molested by her father since she was 11.

State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, a Deputy Superintendent, said the girl complained of difficulty controlling her urinary system after four years of sexual defilement from her father.

The girl said her plight was made worse by the lack of the presence of her mother who had passed away when she was two.

According to her, her father took advantage of her and she had no one to run to as she knew no relatives of her late mother.

“He cashed in on my mother’s death to mess me up for four years, now I am battling a serious health challenge in my urinary system”, she said.

The PPRO stated that, “Upon the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Olabisi Elebute, quickly led her men to the scene where the Baale was promptly arrested.

“On interrogation, he first denied the allegation, but when he was confronted by the victim and one of his ex-wives, who corroborated the victim’s statement, the suspect fainted and was taken to the hospital, where he was resuscitated.

“The Baale’s ex-wife told the investigating officer (IPO) that, she decided to path ways with the randy village head when she caught him sleeping with the girl.”

The PRO further revealed that the victim had been taken to Stella Obasanjo motherless babies home for safe-keeping, while a transfer of the suspect to Anti-human Trafficking and Child Labor Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), had been ordered by State Commissioner of Police, Edward A. Ajogun.
