Nigerian artist, Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing fellow Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy, on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
Asake now holds the record for the most songs listed on the chart.
This record follows the release of his new album, Lungu Boy.
Earlier in the week, Asake made a remarkable debut with nine tracks from Lungu Boy on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
Also, it bringing his total entries to an impressive 50.
Among these tracks, his collaboration with American rapper Travis Scott, “Active,” has soared to the top spot on the chart.
Since its inception in April 2022, the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart has largely been dominated by Nigerian artists.
It highlights the growing influence and global reach of Afrobeats music.
