
Arsenal are reportedly close to agreeing a new contract with Gabriel Magalhaes as the Gunners accelerate talks with the injured defender.

According to the BBC, Arsenal have opted to act early are on the verge of finalising a new long-term contract for the centre-back, whose current deal runs until 2027.
Negotiations between the player’s representatives and the club have intensified in recent weeks, and the north London side appear confident of securing the future of the 27-year-old Brazilian.
Gabriel’s campaign was cut short in April after he suffered a significant hamstring injury during a Premier League clash with Fulham.
The injury required surgical intervention, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Gabriel had enjoyed a standout season in red and white, earning praise for his consistency and composure.
Alongside French defender William Saliba, he has been at the heart of one of the Premier League’s most reliable defensive units until the hamstring problem forced him to sit out.
His presence has been crucial during set-pieces as well, and has scored five goals for the Gunners.

With key transfer targets, including Martin Zubimendi, expected to arrive during the upcoming window, locking in the club’s defensive mainstay ahead of time reduces one potential uncertainty.
