Angelina Jolie is set to be honoured with the TIFF Tribute Award for Impact Media at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival.
The Oscar-winning actress will receive the accolade on September 8 during the TIFF fundraiser, where she will also premiere her latest film, Without Blood.
Written, directed, and produced by Jolie, Without Blood is a war drama based on Alessandro Baricco’s novel of the same name.
The film follows a young girl’s journey for revenge and healing during a time of conflict, with lead roles played by Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir.
Jolie will be celebrated alongside fellow honourees Amy Adams, Jharrel Jerome, Cate Blanchett, and Mike Leigh, among others.
This marks another return to Toronto for Jolie, who previously brought her films First They Killed My Father and The Breadwinner to the festival.
The 49th Toronto Film Festival will take place from September 5 to 15, 2024.
