The state’s commissioner for petroleum and mineral resources, Anthony Ifeanya, said the government will begin strict monitoring of all gas stations throughout the state.

Ifeanya spoke over the weekend in Awka, the state capital.

He confirmed that the ministry had finalised preparations for the measure.

It was gathered that some petrol stations in the state sell petrol between ₦850 and ₦970 even with adjusted pumps.
