Who would’ve thought one of Hollywood’s finest heartthrobs is proudly a mummy’s boy?
British-Nigerian actor Damson Idris is not just stealing hearts on screen. He’s also winning hearts off it with his touching tribute to the most important woman in his life: his mum.
In a recent interview with Kiss FM, the 33-year-old thespian confessed: “I am a mummy’s boy. Big time. I’m not ashamed to admit it anymore. It used to be kind of like – ‘ah, he’s a mummy’s boy.’ I’m actually proud of it.”
He went on to call his mother his biggest fan.
He proudly claimed the title of hers, too. “That woman is the reason why I exist. She’s the one I want to make proud,” he added.
Relating to one of his on-screen roles, he said, “I connect with Joshua because he just wants to make his mother proud and win a championship. Hopefully, I can win a championship in my own way too.”
Looks like behind the fame, the red carpets, and the blockbuster roles, Damson Idris is still just a son striving to make his mum smile.
