The African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) has announced the indefinite suspension of popular Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson.
The suspension was imposed due to what the club described as “gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution.”
AFRIMEK, known for its influential members within Nigeria’s entertainment industry, made the announcement over the weekend via its official Instagram page.
In their post, the club stated: “Adeniyi Johnson is hereby suspended indefinitely from the club (AFRIMEK).
He has no right to portray himself as a member and is prohibited from participating in any club activities.”
The statement emphasised that the decision was a direct result of Adeniyi Johnson’s actions, which violated the club’s rules and principles.
Before this suspension, Adeniyi Johnson held the position of Public Relations Officer within AFRIMEK.
His suspension has sparked considerable attention within the entertainment community considering his prominent status both in AFRIMEK and in the broader industry.
Reacting to the news, Adeniyi Johnson expressed his disappointment and concern.
He noted that the club’s decision to publicly suspend him was disheartening, especially considering the derogatory nature of the post.
Adeniyi Johnson acknowledged that while he is not above the club, his career and reputation predate his involvement with AFRIMEK.
